Preferred Healthstaff Launches New Franchise Program

Company provides “beyond the traditional” in-home care and medical staffing

Preferred HealthStaff (PHS), a family-owned and operated company built on the idea of providing assistance and care to those in need or want of services, announced today that it was implementing a new program to sell franchises, beginning their expansion efforts in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, New Jersey, and Delaware, then going nationwide.  The franchise, which will provide in-home care and medical staffing, will operate under the Preferred HealthStaff organization.

“At PHS, we take great pride in what we’ve achieved over the years. We treat our clients with the same care and respect we would give to our own family members, and as a result, business has continued to grow year after year,” said Donna Moyer, founder, PHS. “Now, we are ready for more growth.”

Started in 2009, PHS was founded on the idea of providing assistance and care to those who are unable to care for themselves or simply need a little extra help. Today, it has grown to include beyond the traditional in-home care services and medical staffing. The staff’s ultimate goal is to help the client maintain their personal freedoms and provide a better quality of life for individuals of all ages and abilities.

PHS provides licensed staff to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospitals to shore up staffing needs, and they provide licensed and/or certified staff for in-home assistance ranging from daily living needs (eating, bathing, dressing), homemaker services (laundry, plan and prepare meals, aid with morning wakeup), companion services (aid with reading, writing letters or correspondence, stimulate mental awareness) and transportation services (shopping, religious services, visiting friends). PHS vigorously vets all staff including health screening, background checks and drug testing, and provides staff with ongoing training and certification. With their corporate office in Fairfield, PA, the company currently has locations in Hanover, PA and Martinsburg, WV.

Much like their in-home care, PHS’s business model will cater to individual franchisees’ needs providing them with the tools and support to establish and grow their business. Individuals or companies securing a PHS franchise will receive start-up assistance to help maintain PHS standards and image, initial training, in-office training for the fist three months of launching your business, a confidential operations manual, ongoing support, and marketing assistance.

“PHS’s main goal is to ensure quality of care and the success of our franchisees, so we are taking a more conservative approach to expansion” said Bret Garretson, Vice President of PHS.

Garretson believes this will be a solid franchise program, based on the company’s experience and the growing need for its services.  “With nearly 50 million seniors in America, and that number expected to grow to nearly 72 million by 2025, we believe the PHS franchise program will expand to meet growing demand of the in-home health industry, and with our business focus and attention on the individual, we believe our concept has a proven ability to work in a variety of settings and markets,” he said.

The franchise program developed with the help of the Chicago-based iFranchise Group and Texas-based attorney, Cheryl L. Mullin, with Mullin Law, P.C., and Pennsylvania- based attorney Michael A. Doctrow, Esquire with McNees, Wallace & Nurick and Bernard A. Yannetti, Jr., Esq. with Hartman & Yannetti, initially will be rolled out in select states, with national expansion to follow.

“We expect our position in the market will become stronger as we fortify our expansion initiatives,” said Moyer.  “Most important, the Preferred HealthStaff home care franchise provides prospective franchisees with the opportunity to run their own personally and professional rewarding business, in an industry that is experiencing explosive growth.”

Founded in 2009, Preferred HealthStaff got its start as a family-owned and operated company was based on the idea of providing assistance and care to anyone in need or want of services. They have grown to include offices in Fairfield, PA, Hanover, PA, and Martinsburg, WV and currently are looking to expand by offering franchises. Beyond the traditional in-home care and medical staffing, they have grown their services to include in-home healthcare, general assistance, companionship, transportation, and homemaker services for individuals, as well as healthcare staffing for hospitals and long-term care facilities.
